Minister Opens Oxygen Plant of Regional Hospital-Mysore Star

Three oxygen plants can produce a total of 1,890 liters of oxygen per minute

Mysore/Mysore: District Chief ST Somashekar opened three oxygen generation plants on Monday, installed in the district hospital building on KRS Road, with a total production capacity of 1,890 LPM (liters per minute) of oxygen.

The installation cost of these three factories exceeded Rs. 20 million. The National Highway Administration of India (NHAI) installed a plant capable of generating 1,000 LPM of oxygen under the Prime Minister’s Citizen Aid and Emergency Relief Fund (PM CARES Fund), and the Infosys Foundation installed a 500 LPM oxygen plant under its CSR program And the state government’s health and family welfare department installed a 390 LPM oxygen plant.

Speaking at the meeting, regional surgeon Dr. HR Rajeshwari Devi said that these three factories can provide oxygen to more than 300 patients in the hospital. She said that the oxygen produced by these three plants can be stored in steel cylinders, which will be very useful.

Nagendra, Mysore Urban Development Authority (MUDA) Chairman HV Rajeev, Karnataka State Exhibition Authority (KEA) Chairman Hemanth Kumar Gowda, Karnataka Kadi and Rural Industry Committee Chairman MR Krishnapa Gowda, Dr. MR Udaykumar, Joint Director of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Shaji Mathew, CEO of Infosys (Mysuru), Dr. Bagdi Gautham, Deputy Commissioner, Dr. KH Prasad, District Health Officer, and AM Yogesh, Chief Executive Officer of ZP, attended the meeting.
