Jagan asks officials to prepare for the third wave of corona

Vijayawada: Chief Minister Jagan has instructed the health authorities to expedite Covid vaccination to prevent the pandemic from spreading in the state.

The Chief Minister held a high-level meeting with Health Minister AKK Srinivas and other senior officials in his camp office on Monday to review the state’s preparations for the third wave, especially its new variant Omicron.

Jagan emphasized the need to complete the double-dose Covid-19 jab as soon as possible before January. 

Officials said they are conducting RT-PCR tests at the airport and implementing Covid guidelines such as wearing masks and restricting social gatherings. They said the Associated Press will set up a genome sequencing laboratory within a week and notify CM that they are conducting a 32nd phase fever investigation in the state.

The Associated Press currently has 1,912 positive active cases of Covid19, the recovery rate is 99.12%, and the daily positive rate is 0.52%.

As part of the preparations for the third wave of coronavirus, officials said they have ensured the establishment of oxygen plants in private hospitals with more than 100 beds. Among 69 hospitals that have established PSA factories in a targeted manner, 43 hospitals have already been in place.

He said that they said there are 23,457 oxygen generators available and 27,311 D-type oxygen cylinders are ready, adding that in the target setting of 144 PSA factories, 121 factories have been established so far.

In reviewing the Nadu-Nadu plan, CM emphasized ensuring that the health infrastructure undergoes significant changes and instructed the authorities to speed up the construction of the new medical school. 

In the Aarogyasri plan, Jagan believes that it is necessary to let people know more about the availability of a series of health care services provided under the plan, and asked officials to set up fences at the village secretariat. The village clinic must serve as a referral point so that people can understand the types of services provided by each hospital.

CM called for the provision of super-specialty services for cancer patients, and believes that in addition to providing treatment for such patients under the Aarogyasri plan, three super-specialty hospitals need to be established in three regions. He called for strengthening the Aarogya Mitra system in the hospital. 

CM issued a green signal to establish medical equipment such as MRI facilities in Visakhapatnam and Kakinada, Cathlabs in Kakinada and Kurnoor, and anesthesia facilities in Padru and Alaku, with a total cost of 37.03 thousand. Lakh rupees.

He regularly seeks information on air and water quality from village clinics and calls for measures to prevent anemia in anganwadi workers in village clinics.

CM emphasized the need to fill vacancies in government hospitals and requested that health authorities, in addition to strengthening the state’s hospital infrastructure in accordance with national standards, also display information on the number of beds, doctors and health personnel on the bulletin board.
